Sichuan Opera- Hand Shadow Puppetry

The Hand Shadow Puppetry was the most interesting part of the sichuanese opera for me that evening.

The hand shadow puppetry of the Sichuanese Opera, like in other parts of China, is a great form of entertainment and a way of passing on cultural history. It is an intangible heritage and the skills are handed in families, in troupes and from master to pupil. It was uniquely wonderful as the puppeteer used her hands to form different kinds of animals. You may make out some time to visit an Opera house. I would bet you will enjoy it.
